About Me
I am currently a student at Southern Connecticut State University, learning and training to be a Physical Education teacher. I grew up in Shelton CT, graduated from Shelton High School in 2022, and still live in my childhood home while commuting to school and work every day. I am currently a member of CTAPHERD and have attended conferences and meetings to further my education and connections within the profession of PE. I have been an assistant coach for multiple teams and sports including basketball and baseball, working to improve players skills on and off the court. Being a Full time student and part time employee, I have developed important life skills such as time management and organization.
Lessons

This is golf Lesson 1 of 5 taught at Doolittle Elementary School. The main purpose of this lesson is to highlight the importance of safety by using caddie shacks and verbal safety precautions to prepare students for full golf games. Students will first learn the caddie shacks with an instant activity in a move and freeze style game. Then students will participate in 4 stations where they will practice putting and chipping.
This is golf Lesson 2 of 5 at Doolittle Elementary School. In this lesson, students begin to chip and putt at 4 different stations. Once again students will begin in the move and freeze caddie shack instant activity before getting into the lesson. Then we will jump into the 4 stations of chipping and putting, where we are slowly developing the students abilities with each golf shot, while continuing to promote safety
This is golf lesson 3 of 5 at Doolittle Elementary School. In this lesson, we are still focusing on the two basic golf shots, but now we will expand on putting. In 2 stations, students will get the opportunity to practice their chipping towards a target and over a target. In 4 other stations, students will participate in a makeshift mini golf game where they will putt towards a tee. Students are still focusing on safety by using physical and vocal precautions.
This is golf lesson 4 of 5 at Doolittle Elementary School.
This is lesson 5 of 5 during my field work experience at Doolittle Elementary School. For this open space lesson plan, students will begin with an instant activity of "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Cone". Then we will begin the main lesson which focuses on dribbling. To begin, students will dribble in a hula hoop to build their skills in personal space. Then we will move to dribbling in different pathways, including straight, zig zag, and curved. At the end, if students are excelling, you can incorporate a game of dribble tag.
This is a lesson plan for underhand volleying that was completed for an assignment in my HMS 293 class at Southern Connecticut State University. This lesson focuses on developing students' underhand volleying for activities like 2 square and 4 square primarily. Students will begin by underhand volleying to a partner with their dominant hand, to a partner with both their hands, and eventually move into a bordered cooperative or competitive game (depending on the skill advancement of students throughout the lesson)
REFLECTION
This is a reflection on my performance for my entire field work experience at Doolittle Elementary. For context, this was the second semester of field work experience I had done, and I had previously only been in a supportive role at my other field work experiences. For this semester of field work, I began to get involved heavily in the teaching process and found my growth as a teacher and as a person to be immense.
